This notice explains how personal information provided to The Harris Foundation is handled when you apply for funding or practical support.
Harris & Co is the data controller for information submitted through the Harris Foundation support application.

Information you provide is used to understand your circumstances, assess your request for funding or practical support, decide whether support can be provided, and administer any support that is approved.
Depending on the application, this may include your name, contact details, household or financial circumstances, details of the support you are requesting, and other information needed to understand your situation.
Please only provide information that is relevant to your application.
An application may sometimes include sensitive information about personal circumstances. Where this happens, Harris & Co will only use that information where permitted by UK data protection law and where it is relevant to assessing or administering the request for support.
Access is limited to people who need the information to assess, manage or administer the application. Information may also be shared with a relevant organisation or service provider where this is necessary to arrange support, comply with the law, or where you have asked us to do so.
We do not sell your personal information.
Personal information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed to assess and administer the application, maintain appropriate records of funding or support provided, and meet any legal, accounting or regulatory requirements. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or securely disposed of.
Harris & Co uses appropriate organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, or to object to certain uses of your information.
